You can hold the Mermade Waver in two positions

Both create the same wave, but users may have their own preference for ease of styling

inverted position– your thumb is on the soft-touch grip and the safety bracket is facing outward

Holding the curling iron in this inverted position will make styling easier because you will be able to see the hair through the barrels so you can tighten each wave without any problems.

This also means that the first wave goes down, creating a very natural look

upright position– your index finger is on the soft-touch handle and the safety support is facing inwards

This position allows for easier styling if you are styling someone's hair or if you prefer the wave to travel upwards first

Always hold the curling iron at the same angle to achieve an even look on both sides of your hair

always keep it parallel to the head so as not to create too sharp lines, when you start the first wave, make sure to hold the curling iron at a 45 degree angle with a little slack to avoid getting a creased line
